HAWAII

So I realized with a day where I'm not doing much and I have a few minutes I figure i can update and share with what I have been doing so far. So I was able to go to Hawaii with the family I nanny for. I know how awesome is that! So we landed in Kona, Hawaii - "The Big Island" also know as the volcano Island, on Tuesday march 29th.

Elsa and I on the Airplane.

On the beach we found a sea turtle - I named it crush - from Finding Nemo. Hehe :) And it winked at me.

We got into our condo's - yes I know condo - not a hotel, cool right? Its right next to the beach. That day we went to the beach and all around there is volcanic rock everywhere and also in the ocean. so i went down to the ocean with Elsa, and as you get further into the water the bigger the rocks were. Well i stepped on one and cut my foot open - sweet i know until i found a lava rock in my foot and blood dripping everywhere on my foot. oops.

Elsa and I on the beach!

So cute - so we left early in the morning from Seattle at 6am so Vigo was probably up around 5 or earlier and Hawaii is 3 hours behind Washington, and around 8 pm here Hawaii Vigo was eating a bowl of cereal and just fell asleep. I just love the handful of cereal in his hand.

Gedde likes feeding the birds so he placed a piece of bread and ran off like thinking to himself... i didn't do anything... ;)

Vigo looking onto the roof at the birds.

After Gedde ate 2 eggs off of his Dad's plate and some other food plus his own breakfast he went over to Grandpa to eat some of his egg, but it wasn't the same as his dad so he didn't like it.

I love the sunset!!

At the beach watching the sunset with Elsa.

Elsa found a dead crab.

On Thursday we went on a hike at the valley - its a 900 ft descent at a 25% grade but its gorgeous!!! It is only a mile down - and up - but going up feels like its 5 miles! On the way back from the hike we decided to stop at this wooden playground that was huge and Gedde, Vigo, and Caelen played on it. It was fun. Gedde and Vigo loves to play outside and feed the birds, but if the birds come down and eat the food that Vigo and Gedde put out Gedde runs and chases the birds. Haha, so cute but doesn't understand the concept of that if you want the birds to eat the food you can't chase them.

Grace and Gedde on our way to the valley for the hike.

Ocean from the top.

Gedde on the swing and me pushing him - he loves underdogs! But it hurts just a little to push him because of the sunburn on my back.

Birds eating the "nest" Vigo made for them.

A movie of Vigo and Gedde setting food for the birds - with a tunnel Vigo made.

Awesome chairs outside that Elsa and I we sit in them... they are called barrel chairs.

Today - Friday, its been a laid back day. I stayed here with Vigo and Gedde and Caelen as the adults went to another town and did some touring and shopping I think - not sure where they went, haha. But We went down to the pool and I did my 1000 yards, that felt so nice to get some exercise in. Thats it - and just so far relaxing today.

Ohio and Valentine's Day

February 9th - February 15th I went and visited my fiance, Brandon, in Ohio. It was so much fun! We got out engagement photos done. Had Valentine's Day, and planned the wedding - well most of it there is still a lot that needs to be planned still.

One of our favorite Engagement pictures!

On Valentine's day morning he brought me breakfast in bed.

Omlet, hasbrowns, fruit, toast, hot chocolate, milk - it was all so yummy - he is so good to me!

This is pepper - he is the cutest dog ever! he can be annoying sometimes but I love to play with him!

We had a heart-shaped pizza for dinner.

And a smores pizza for dessert. We watched a movie - salt.

I love going out to Ohio to see him - just being with him is amazing. I can't wait to go back and be out there for good!! I love you Brandon and thanks for an amazing, awesome, wonderful Valentine's Day and another trip out there to remember!

December 13 – Day 13, my birthday!!!

Yay!! So today is my birthday and I had such a wonderful day. To start it off with I woke up by texts, phone calls of people wishing me a happy birthday and singing to me. I got up and opened Brandon’s parents’ presents they sent me and then his. It was so thoughtful of them. Patrick made a HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign going across the ceiling sort of thing for me. How thoughtful – thanks Patrick! The missionaries came over that day and we played games because it was their p-day.

Afterwards since it flooded in the valley we had to go the LONG way to the Springgay house for dinner which is about an extra 15-20 minutes drive. For the dinner we had Cornmeal pancakes, bacon, sausage, scramble eggs, and cinnamon rolls. It was all so yummy! So the Hanks, Grandma, Granddad, David and Kerstin plus family, and mom and dad were there what a wonderful turnout but I do have to say I did miss Brandon not being able to be there.

Of course we need pictures:

The Sign that Patrick made for me. Thanks!

Sweetheart - Brandon

This is the picture that was taken from Jackie a her house - I don't have one from yesterday sorry. But as you can see I should have known my present before I even opened it.
haha.

Thanks to Jackie – I go this apron and a funny story about is that I helped Jackie make this, and I made all the decisions on it and I had NO CLUE on that it was for me. I always use a apron to cook, I love them, and they are so amazing so she made me one. Thanks Jackie!!

Thanks everyone to make my birthday a wonderful day!
I'm 2 decades old now.... SO OLD!!!

Birthday time - Day 12 - Picture

Today is my last day as a teenager, the second to the last day of birthday presents, and it has also been a month since I got engaged!

So you may ask how does this relate to 12? Well, on November 12th we were in Kirtland, OH where if you are familiar that is where we got engaged. This picture was taken just about an hour to two hours before we got in engaged! Picture was taken on a bridge next to the saw mill in the historical kirtland. So November 12 = Day 12.
I love you Brandon, thanks so much, I love it! Just like I have loved the past 11.

Birthday Time - Day 10

Each day he will give me a clue and sometimes I'm really good at guessing and figuring it out but today not so much.... here are the clues:
  1. 10 doesn't refer to a quanity
  2. Green & Gold
  3. Riaders
  4. Texas
  5. 4-2=10
  6. 30-12=10

Now if you know me 5 and 6 me being a math major and all can't comprehend those.

Haven't figure it out yet?

Now trying to figure how those clues relate to that? Well let me share with you.

  1. that's plain obvious, 3 does not equal 10 so 10 doesn't refer to quanity.
  2. Green & Gold are the colors of Wright State University - which where the concert was at.
  3. Raiders - thats the mascot of Wright State University.
  4. Texas - Texas Roadhouse, the Nutter I think was the place that we saw it at was right across the street of Texas Roadhouse.
  5. 4-2=10. Well 4 refers to the my fourth finger which refers to engagement, and he proposed on the 12th so 12-2 =10.
  6. 30-12=10. Well today is 12/10 so that is where the 12 is from, and 30 is a month - so if you subject a whole month then you are back to 11/10 which was the day of the concert.

Wow he really thinks about it and I can say I was confused and didn't figure it at all!

Thanks hon - I love it!

Birthday time - Day 9 - 9x9 squares

So you may think what are 9x9 squares, well if you know me that means numbers 1-9, and placing them in squares...

...well if you haven't figured it out its SUDOKU!!!! I love SUDOKU and its so much fun! I'm not going to be bored at all - and in the book on the left, it has 16x16 squares so that will be so much fun! I'm excited.

Thanks sweetheart for it, I love it a ton! I love you!
