Bree Tanner - Eclipse, Me Reading??

Who is a fan of Twilight? Who has read all the books? If you have read the 3rd book, Eclipse you should also read "The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner" - if you plan to watch the movie that comes out on June 30 - read the book!

So Natalie - my friend, brought this book over to me on Tuesday and told me to read it, for people who know me I do not like reading. She told me to read it before I watch the movie - and mind you that the movie comes out next week and so I had to finish it. Well I started it that day and I finished it that day! Can you believe that, I read a book in ONE day!

Well if you haven't read it - I recommend you reading it. Its good and I really enjoyed it and you will too!

Oregon Coast

Over Father's Day weekend I went to the beach, Rockaway Beach, Oregon with the Hanks. So much fun! On Thursday we drove down to Oregon and stayed with Danielle's Mom's sister for the night. Then on Friday we went on the beach and flew kites, skipped rocks, and just had fun on the beach. Saturday was a beautiful day and spent most of it on the beach in the goregous sun! Monday we drove back to Washington and i just didn't want the vacation to end. I think I need a vacation from the vacation.

Danielle and I on the beach.

The pretty sky on the coast - Saturday

We had the really big marshmellows to make smores - they were REALLY BIG! as you can see, this is comparison to the regular marshmellows.

There were these people that built the sand turtle and a sea horse too - it was pretty cool.

the same people built a VW beetle.
I had a fun time and I wanna go back. I love the sun!

Trying to catch up

So it has been a long time since the last time I blogged… as you can see it has been since February. So I will try and do my best to get all caught up and try and explain my absence of blogging. And now that it is June everyone has said - You need to update your blog, you haven't done anything since February. Well that got me thinking - well I haven't done anything since then. Well of course I have..duh...so here you go.

Well at the end of January I met a guy…yes a guy. It was at the BYU-Idaho devotional with Elder Nelson.

Since everyone wants to see a picutre why not just post it up on my blog...sounds good so this is Brandon and I in front of the troll in Tremont.

So to make a really, really, really long story short I will just say that we met January 26, started to hang out and became good friends then started dating on February 25, and then he came out here to Seattle in the middle of Spring semester because I came back home after Winter semester. He is so amazing to come out and do that.

Well back to winter semester. So I took 8 classes, got 4 A’s, 2 B-‘s and 2 B’s. So I did pretty well but I’m still trying to do better like always. So graduating in Mathematical Education with a minor in Exercise Sports and Science Education (Physical Education).

Now in April. So I just got back home from school and as soon as I got home I attempted to break the world record of the largest ensemble playing the same tune all together under one roof. Did that with Jackie and David and had a blast.

Just a little less than 400 people like 398 or something like that all got together.
We of course beat the world record so I can now say that I’m a world record breaker :D I worked one day at the job I still have that I have had for about 2 years now at Kohl’s department store. Then the next 4 days I was with Jackie and Eric in Florida at Disney World! It was so much fun and I had a super fun time. Though Jackie may not know that I did because I was sorta...well, not in a good mood, but I did have a fun time and she did get my mind off of things and I was able to just to relax. Though after a trip with Jackie you of course need a vacation from your vacation.

And now in May, still working at Kohl’s and I didn’t do much, expect Brandon came to Washington but you already read about that.

The Space Needle, Brandon and I went there.

Now that it is June and I am in the summer league rifle shooting with David, Dad, and Granddad. It has been three weeks since it has started and the first week I got a 250, 2nd week 284 and guess what!?!?!? 3rd week… 351!!! Oh ya! That’s what I am talking about! I was so excited that night.

So now that is all done I am here down in Oregon with my “real” family as my mom would say for the weekend of Father’s day and am going to the beach in Rockaway. But I will of course will blog about that hopefully soon by the time I get home.

Well so sorry that it has been SO long but I hoped that I recapped everything and told all the good/sad parts about my life since February.

oh just a quick thing of course - I'm still working at Kohl's and doing all the many projects that we have at our house.

SALSA!!!

Wow it has been so long since I have blogged, but here at college it is going great! I'm having so much fun! This semester is way better than last.... I don't have the crazy roommate situation again, and none of them want me dead :) So I think that is a good sign.
I have been talking a lot about my salsa and I was craving it. My roommate, Cristy is mexican and so she really likes spicy food, and two of my friends really like hot spicy food. So I just couldn't resist, I needed to make salsa! So I went to the store and got peppers, and I might have said to the two that I would bring them some... So here in Idaho the peppers were so cheap compare to redmond!!! I was shocked! But of course like always the haberano was the most expensive it was like $4 per lb. INSANE but cheaper than the 6.99 at Safeway. So I got everything that I needed.
So I spent saturday a good part of my day making salsa, of course I did my homework before I started.

I didn't want the oil's of the pepper on my hand... so i use my plastic bags :)

I need to make them really fine fine fine chopped! I wished that I had a knife sharperner because for me that knife was dull, but it worked.

No one was helping me.. I miss my dad. I started to cry.. My mascara started to run.. its not waterproof. My roommate was like, you look like you just broke up with your boyfriend or something. But its just the onions. :)

I didn't have a big steal bowl or glass bowl so I made a compromise and used my big cooking bowl that I cooked the pot roast in! It works.
I made a lot of salsa!!! These 4 glass bottles and i made 3 other glass bottles (about the same size a little smaller to the jar on the right.) Funny story about glass jars. So I didn't have any, so I went through my whole dorm complex and asked girls for them. I got about 15 of them but only used 7. So I have extras.. not sure what to do with them now because they didn't want them back.. So yay I have glass jars!
This is Kelsey. She wanted some salsa because she loves spicy food, so i brought it over, SHE LOVED IT!!! The jar that she is holding is what I gave the 3 people. (including her)
Of course I have to eat some to make sure it was just right... but something was missing... MINCED GARLIC!! I didn't have any, and it was too expensive at the store, but it was still really really really good! I love it!

It takes a lot of fridge space.. it should last about a month. A jar per week :)
So that was my saturday, and everyone seemed to really like it. They were jealous that I could make such good salsa.. if they want more.. I need to start charging ;)
(if you want to see more pictures.. there is more on my facebook, just some crazy ones while making the salsa)

meter shower/My blind date/birthday!

So I'm not sure how long ago, I believe it was in November and there was a meter shower, so we went outside at 2 am in the morning and lied on the grass and watched for shooting stars, there wasn't that many as compare to before, but i did see a couple

Aubrey and Me

Hannah, Heidi and Aubrey in front of the BYUI sign :)

So last friday, the December 11. I had a blind date. To try and make a long story short. My friend Glenn in Physics was talking to me and asked if I would go on a date with his roommate, I was like No, but then he asked and said please so I said, sure why not, can't really hurt.. can it? So then as you know if you Jackie's blog that it was originally going to be on saturday at 7 instead it got changed to Friday at 7 because Jackie was going to come up and surprise me! (but i didn't know that at that time, and Glenn did, and he did a good job of keeping that a secret) So comes friday, and I went on a date with Jake. We made dinner and then played some games. It was a lot of fun!

Aubrey helping me getting ready for the date. (hannah taught her well :) ) -- in the bathroom

Got everything done, just have left is my hair.

hair is done! it is the final! Date time!

My birthday was on Sunday, December 13. My sister came up and surprised me on saturday morning and we got a pedicure, went shopping, surprised party, and laser tag! so MUCH FUN!!!! (want to see saturday pictures -- go to Jackie's blog)
On saturday I walked into my apt and everyone was in the kitchen, yelled surprised, and I, no joke jumped six feet in the air, and screamed at the top of my lungs. For the next 5 minutes i seriously was shaking. it was so scary, but so much fun! I loved it!

So on Saturday for the big surprise party, my roommate Amber made a cake. And she cut the top layer off, so my roommates Hannah and Aubrey are eating it. yummy!

hannah and Aubrey! eating chocolate cake.

Heidi and Aubrey!

So sunday we had a Kuwaiti party because Hannah lived there for a year, and brought us all back Kuwaiti scarfs and all put on fake nose rings!

My favorite of them all. We are so hott!

Check it out! our nose rings!

I had the best birthday ever! Thanks to Jackie and Eric and the best roommates ever! I have the best sister in the World!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, right next to my dorm, (That building behind it is the Smith, and my car is about 100 feet behind me) in the middle of the road/circle, the BYU-I people decided to show us how fast a fire can grown in a dorm. There have been some cases where people have tried to start a fire in their dorm, don't ask me why. So they built a "mini" dorm duplicate of the dorm and they just start a tiny piece of fire and it started a really big fire. Good thing the Fire Department was there.

The "dorm" before we started the fire. So There is a lap top, pizza boxes, pants, dishes, food, couch, a chair, table, and other stuff. Everything who would have in a dorm.

The fire department puttingit out... after 5 minutes of burning. (That chair next to it, was not even in the room and it got caught on fire. It was so hot! I can only image what it would be like with the 4th wall!

I'll put a video up but it is on my phone and I don't have the card so I can put it on my computer. So i'll do that once I get home for Thanksgiving. it is so cool on how quickly it started/and how big it quickly got.

Everything... Relief Society Teacher, MMA, and Me being self!

So it has been a long time since the last time I have blogged, sorry about that. But here at BYUI it is fun and a lot of things have been going one.
So here wehave MMA, it is ground fighting. And there are only 3 girls that go, Me, Ashley, and Hannah. So one week we didn't go and the guys always seem to show off for the girls by doing pull ups. So the person who teaches us is Hannah's brohter-in-law and so he went in and said to them, guys you don't need to do any push-ups so show off for the girls because they won't be here tonight. One guy said, "thats okay they aren't even that good looking anyways." So Brain (the brother-in-law) told hannah then told us. So the next week we show up looking amazing. hannah and ashley decided to be "gansta" people and reall tough and I was the pretty one.

I walked in with glasses, and my purse and filing my nails with a big long black coat. Then dropped the coat and I was wearing my blue flower shirt with my red basketball shorts and then my hair was curled, and i sprayed a lot of perfume on and bright red lipstick. It was amazing!

Reminds me of Lady Gaga, sorta.

Hannah all tough and me all pretty, you can see how bright and red the lipstick was.

So I was called as a relief Society Teacher and I teach the 4th sunday about teachings for our times.
So Hannah and I woke up around the same time, we were both come out in our pj's and then walked into our rooms, at the same time and put our dress on, we walk out and we were pretty much wearing the same dress, well same material, very similar. So then we just decided to go all out. You can't tell in the pictures, but we both are wearing boots that go up our leg (well calf) and then same necklace, and earings and everything, then we both wore jen jackets.

That saturday night, I didn't have any homework and so i wanted to make cookies for the relief Society lesson, so I made sugar cookies in the shape of compasses, spent 3 1/2 hours on them :) not including cooking time, just frosting them and decorating them. It was fun!!!

N,E,S,W. They are are compasses because the lesson was about being a disciple of Christ and having Christ in our lives, so the cookie mean "Chist is the compass of our lives". Very creative right? I thought so :)

Just a sunday where we decdied to take picutres in the garden, These are my roommates and friends. (Left to right, Hannah (Roommate), Heidi, Ashley, Me, and Aubrey (roommate)

Me just being myself.... i guess... at least that is what Aubrey says. We have fun every night and Aubrey always has her camera with her and always takes pics of me when I do crazy things. this is when i said "when in doubt strike a pose" and she took a picture of that. HAHA!
